Front Door was born out of an emerging need for unconditional support for people who are sleeping rough or in great stress. People who find themselves unable to face the trauma of engaging the extensive help and support available from the Council, Health Authority or the supportive agencies working for them in the city. Our help is unconditional and ranges from a kit of essentials needed to start a tenancy to 'hands on' guidance and support to navigate the often complicated support options. Forms and interviews often cause people to fail and we are there to be a friend through that process. We do not replace any existing service but we work with them as a 'Bolt On' facility for the individual Where to find Front Door
We are as close to the centre of town as you can get. Our 'Infowall' is available 24/7 and will be updated regularly. |
.We opened on 21st March and you can come between 1.45pm to 4.45pm Monday to Friday. Please note the needle exchange is not open Tuesdays and closes Friday at 4.00pm ![]()
.The Board of management is drawn from the Church, Local Authority, Primary Care Trust, Voluntary Sector, West Midlands Police, City Centre Company, Wolverhampton University, Statutory sector and concerned individuals. Front Door Wolverhampton is funded by:
